Well, this past week (July 25-30) I went to the annual FASRO (Florida Assoc. of School Resource Officers) click here, http://fasro.net/ Conference in Naples, Florida and took the whole family. It was nice to have most everything paid for by the job. By day two, Liz was feeling the walls closing in on her with 4 kids in a medium hotel room. The hotel was sweet. It was a 5star Waldorf Astoria Resort.
All the training I got was good. I went to training for most of the day and then toured around with the family in the evenings. The kids hit one for the three pools at least twice a day. One pool was the kids favorite as it had a water slide in it and a zero clearance area for Anna so she could walk and wade in the water at her leisure. That girl has NO fear of the water. Often she would walk into the water to her shoulders and chin and just splash around, with absolutely no fear.
Being raised around the beaches I was thoroughly impressed with the Naples beaches. They were absolutely beautiful and pristine. Destin and St. George don't touch this beach. Crystal clear water as far as the eyes can see and shallow depth for at least 75 yards or more. It was truly a paradise.
On our way out we stopped in to stay overnight with Amy. We went and ate some sweet BBQ with her and left the next morning after church. On the return trip we stopped back in Orlando and stayed with Emily this time and the kids had a great time. Finally, we came home about 230pm yesterday...needless to say, we are glad to be back home!
Enjoy the pics~
